By Ryan Cunningham Aug 31, 2026 | 9:55 AM

(KNOX) – After scoring on the opening drive of the night, it would be the fourth quarter before Grand Forks Central would score again.

The thrilling play was enough for the win.

Quarterback Brody Leddige hit Jayden Cochran for a 59-yard touchdown pass with 10:10 left of the fourth quarter, sparking a 14-7 win for the Knights over Bismarck St. Mary’s Friday at Our Lady of Victory Stadium in Bismarck.

Cochran missed last year after being expected to contribute, suffering a leg injury in a preseason scrimmage.  He caught only one pass Friday night, the gamewinner.

Leddige threw for 132 yards.  Carson Kotrba rushed for 75 yards, and Jon Shereck added a touchdown run.

Central will face Jamestown Friday night at Cushman Field.
