(KNOX) –Construction on Altru Health System’s expansion for a behavioral health facility is on pace to be completed by next year. The facility is a part of the Behavioral Health Center.
Altru Director of Plant and Facilities Chris Arnold is optimistic patients will start receiving care in sometime between January and June 2027.
The $18 million, 17,000-square-foot project broke ground this summer. The facility will increase the number of inpatient beds to 48. 2,000 square feet of the fidelity will be used for outpatient behavioral health services and the other 15,000 square feet will be for inpatient services.
The center will be located north of the new Altru Hospital.
