(KNOX) – More than 30 Minnesota community water systems were victims of a coordinated cyberattack that was directed at operational technology. The attacks happened on Sunday and Monday.
Minnesota IT Services activated the state’s cybersecurity incident response capabilities to stop the attack. MNIT says it is continuing to work with federal, state, local, Tribal and private sector partners to investigate the attack, as an investigation is active. Those who were victims can access the affected systems.
