Cass-Clay Creamery Votes To Authorize Strike

(KNOX/Valley News Live) – Over 100 union workers at Cass-Clay Creamery in Fargo have voted to authorize a strike. 

Members of Teamsters Local 120 are trying to negotiate with Dairy Farmers of America  for higher wages, better health care benefits, pensions, and stronger worker protections. The DFA operates the Fargo facility as part of its dairy network.

Workers at the creamery produce, package, and ship dairy products that are distributed across North Dakota and surrounding communities.

Beyond wages and benefits, union members are seeking successor language, a grievance and arbitration process, and improved strike language in any new contract.

No strike date has been announced, as negotiations with DFA are continung.

Teamsters Local 120 represents more than 15,000 workers across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota
