(KNOX) –The Grand Forks Police Department has considered building a fence around its parking lot, but they say the idea has not led to any action because of the city’s budget restrictions. Their current parking lot is located downtown. It is accessible to the public and there is very little security around it.
Putting up a fence there is estimated to cost between $200,000 and $250,000. This comes as the Fargo City Commission approved plans on Monday to build a fence around the Fargo Police Department’s parking lot. That fence will cost $174,000.
