Fergus Falls Man Sentenced For Possessing Child Pornography

Lesley Glenn Nielsen was sentenced to four months in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility, as well as to five years on probation after previously pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material.

The Fergus Falls Police Department received a tip in November 2024 from Internet Crimes Against Children that Nielsen had contained a sexual video that included an 11-year-old child.

A search warrant of Nielsen’s devices was conducted in May 2025. The search revealed flags for multiple items of CSAM, as well as multiple items of CSAM that were created with artificial intelligence.

Prosecutors say a detective sent images and videos that were being warned as material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The detective received a NCMEC report in March, which identified more than 60 files on Nielsen’s devices that had images of real children from multiple locations.
