
(KNOX) – West Fargo took a pair of games from the Grand Forks Royals Tuesday night at Kraft Field.
Game one was a heartbreaker for the Royals. Grand Forks scored five runs in the bottom of the second to lead 5-1, but allowed three unearned runs in the game, and fell 8-5 in eight innings. Zander Waind threw seven innings, allowing 10 hits and five runs, only two earned, in a no decision.
The Patriots poured on the offense early in a 13-3 win in the nightcap, the game stopped in five innings due to the 10-run rule.
Grand Forks travels to Warroad Wednesday.
