(KNOX/Learfield) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is expanding its ban on feeding deer and using deer attractants in an effort to slow the spread of chronic wasting disease.
Five counties have been added to the restrictions, and they are Becker, Clearwater, Grant, McLeod and Meeker counties. There are now 37 counties under the ban.
Wildlife experts say feeding deer can lead to overcrowding, and it makes it easier for diseases to spread.
