(KNOX) – Nearly a dozen Ward County businesses are under investigation for failing alcohol compliance checks held by the Ward County Sheriff’s Department and the Surrey Police Department.
Ward County Sheriff Robert Roed says there were underage people trying to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating establishments. The individuals presented their valid identification showing they were under 21 years old.
11 out of 19 establishments that were looked at sold or served alcohol to an underage individual.
The Ward County Sheriff’s Department says these establishments were caught selling alcohol to underage people:
On the Run Mobile – 7141 Highway 2 East, Minot
Idle Hours Lounge – 136 Colton Ave, Burlington
Son of a Brunch – 501 Pleasant Ave S, Surrey
Z Bar – 511 Main St, Carpio
The Grainhopper – 2212 Valley St, Minot
City Limits Bar and Bottle Shop – 49900 422nd Ave NW, Kenmare
M & K Pizza Hub – 709 Broadway Ave N, Kenmare
Douglas Bar – 104 Main ST S, Douglas
Ryder Star – 241 Main ST N, Ryder
K Bar – 1 Main ST N, Makoti
Pink’s Bar – 102 128th AVE NW, Minot
Businesses that failed the compliance check were referred to the Ward County State’s Attorney’s Office and the appropriate licensing authority. These businesses could face criminal sanctions.
