(KNOX) – Several health insurers are proposing double-digit premium increases for 2027 plans sold through MNsure.
New filings with the Minnesota Department of Commerce show requested increases ranging from about 10 to 13 percent. The proposals have not been approved yet by state regulators.
Insurers says premium’s will likely increase because of rising medical costs, that includes higher spending on prescription drugs and increased demand for health care services. Final rate decisions are expected later this year.
