(KNOX) –Altru Health System President Dr.Joshua Deere is one of three finalists for a position on the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education.
A nominating committee has brought his name and two others to Gov. Kelly Armstrong for consideration to fill the position when Danita Bye’s term ends June 30.
Deere has practiced family medicine for more than a decade and has served as Altru president since 2022. Originally from Kennedy, Minnesota, he earned his undergraduate degree from Mayville State University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from UND. He completed residency training through the Altru Family Medicine Residency Program.
