(KNOX) – It was a rough Tuesday on the road for Grand Forks baseball.
Red River and Central were both swept Tuesday, with three of the games being called in five innings.
The Knights were beaten by league-leading West Fargo Horace 18-3 and 16-0. The Knights fell to 1-19 in league play.
The Roughriders were swept by West Fargo 15-4 and 6-4. The wins pushed West Fargo past Red River for third place in the Eastern Dakota Conference. Red River is now 12-6 in the league, with West Fargo is 13-5.
Red River needs a win in their final league date of the year with Fargo Shanley to clinch a home game in the EDC tournament outright. They are a game up on West Fargo Sheyenne for the fourth seed, and two up in the loss column. Should a tiebreaker revert to run differential, Red River would have that tiebreaker.
