Central Looks for Upset Against Shanley Tonight

(KNOX) – With the fight for a state tournament spot on the line, Central girls soccer is looking for points in unexpected places.

Shanley is one of those places tonight.

The Knights will face the Deacons at Cushman Field tonight. The match will be seen on KNOX Live Sports.

Central is in fourth place, which is in line for a state tournament spot. They are one point ahead of Fargo Davies for the final spot.

Both Davies and Central have Shanley and Red River remaining on their schedule, teams they are chasing. Both play Fargo North, a team trailing them.

Draws are worth one point in the league. Even a draw against a team the Knights or Davies are not favored to beat could be the difference between a state tournament berth or ending the season.

Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.
