(KNOX) – With dates growing short before the Eastern Dakota Conference tournament, both the Red River and Central baseball teams are on the verge of completing their regular seasons.
The Roughriders will finish with three straight road dates, at Devils Lake, West Fargo, and Shanley. Red River is in fourth place in the EDC standings, and are battling with West Fargo Sheyenne for a top-half seed in the EDC tournament. Sheyenne is 11-7, with one date left with Davies.
West Fargo is 11-5, the best opponent Red River has left. The matchup will likely be for third place in the league. Devils Lake is 9-7, and Shanley is 3-13.
Central has dates with Fargo Davies at home Monday, and on the road at West Fargo Horace to finish. The Knights have been eliminated from EDC play, as the league takes the top eight in the regular season. Central is 1-15.
