(UND Sports Information) – GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota head hockey coach announced on Wednesday that forward Gavin Lindberg has signed an agreement to join UND beginning in 2026-27. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
“Gavin is a player who will bring his high-level hockey sense and his strong playmaking ability to our roster,” said Jackson. “He is a such a versatile forward that can play both wing and center, which will only increase our depth.”
Lindberg joins the Fighting Hawks after playing the first two seasons of his collegiate career at Colorado College, where he never missed a game over those two years. In 73 games for the Tigers, Lindberg scored 11 goals and dished out 20 assists for 31 points, including doubling his point total in 2025-26 with six goals and 15 helpers to sit third on the team with 21 points.
In addition to his offensive play, Lindberg paced all Tiger forwards in both plus/minus and shorthanded time-on-ice while also sitting top-3 among CC forwards in total TOI and power play TOI. He was efficient against NCHC opponents last season, potting five of his six goals last season in games against conference foes while tying for third on the team with 13 points in league matchups.
The Moorhead, Minn., native is expected to play alongside his brother, Garrett, who will join North Dakota as a freshman defenseman in 2026-27.
