ND Capitol Works Through Shelter in Place Monday

(KNOX) -Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the North Dakota Capitol Monday after a person with a gun threatened suicide on the Capitol grounds.

Armed with a pistol, the person did not make any threats to the public according to Bismarck Police Lt. Luke Gardiner.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Bismarck police and other agencies secured a perimeter around the Capitol and restricted access to the grounds.  Police received the report about 2 p.m. and the incident was resolved safely just before 6 p.m.
