(North Dakota Monitor) – The newly named president of North Dakota State University set a goal of growing enrollment to more than 15,000 students.
The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education named Marshall Stewart of Kansas State University to serve as the next NDSU president.
Stewart in his interview with the board set a goal of 15,000 to 18,000 students. After the board voted unanimously to name Stewart president, he expounded on that goal — saying he hoped for 15,000 students on the Fargo campus and another 3,000 online.
NDSU’s enrollment has been just under 12,000 students the past two years, the second largest university in the state.
