(KNOX) – A Grand Forks man has pleaded guilty to shooting at an occupied vehicle in 2025. Court records said that Walker Poitra,18, is charged with five counts of Class A felony attempted murder of a child, one count of Class A felony terrorizing a child, five counts of Class C reckless endangerment with extreme indifference, and one count each of misdemeanor criminal mischief and misdemeanor unlawful possession of a handgun.
The records says that police were dispatched to North 42nd Street the night of January 3rd for a report of gunshots.
Police said they located a handgun and apprehended Poitra on suspicion of firing multiple rounds at and into a vehicle occupied by five minors. Two of the vehicle’s occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Poitra next court date is set for April 4th.
