(North Dakota Monitor) – Former Republican-endorsed candidate Alex Balazs said that he will challenge Republican Rep. Julie Fedorchak for North Dakota’s only U.S. House seat.
In his campaign announcement, Balazs pledged to hold regular, in-person town halls and advocate for citizen-led service, veterans, fiscal discipline, border security and priorities that put America first.
Balazs, of Cando, received the endorsement of North Dakota Republicans for the open U.S. House seat during the 2024 state convention in Fargo. However, the support came after Fedorchak withdrew her name from consideration.
Balazs finished fourth out of five candidates during the 2024 primary election for North Dakota’s at-large U.S. House seat with 4% of the statewide vote. Fedorchak won the primary with 46% voter support.
