Grand Forks Man Arrested on Terrorizing Charges

(KNOX) – A Grand Forks man has been arrested after allegedly terrorizing three woman. Gewedinodin Lightfeather is charged with three counts of terrorizing and two counts of domestic violence.

Grand Forks Police were called to a home for a welfare check on two women. The women told police that they were visiting Lightfeather and he had been drinking and became extremely violent. Documents said that Lightfeather pointed a knife at the two and yelled at them before grabbing one of them by the wrist.

He then pulled out the knife again, putting both women in fear for their lives. According to documents, another victim heard the yelling and attempted to intervene when Lightfeather shoved her into the couch, causing her to fall to the ground. She told police she had prior injuries to her back that needed surgery, and the fall added to her pain, making it hard for her to walk.

Officers also stated she had a right black eye that was swollen shut. The victim stated her and the two other women went to bed, and she woke up and found the two women were gone. The documents said that Lightfeather was extremely upset about the two leaving, and started yelling at the women and pointed a 17.5 inch machete at her.

Lightfeather has a court date January 5th.
