(KNOX) – North Dakota Public Service Commissioner Sheri Haugen-Hoffart was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC.) She was appointed along with three other new board members to fill open seats on the 36-member board.
I am deeply honored to join the Board of Directors of NARUC, serving alongside a distinguished group of Commissioners committed to advancing our nation’s energy future,” said Commissioner Sheri Haugen-Hoffart.
Haugen-Hoffart has served on the Commission since February 2022 when she was appointed by Gov. Doug Burgum. In 2022 she was elected to a full six-year term. She heads the wind & solar reclamation; economic regulation-electric; pipeline safety; damage prevention and enforcement; weights and measures; consumer affairs; and cybersecurity portfolios for the Commission. She currently serves as Vice-President on the Mid-America Regulatory Conference (MARC) board, Chair of the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute’s Advisory Council, and is a member of the Department of Energy-NARUC Cyber Baselines Steering Committee.
NARUC board members serve four-year terms and oversee the Association’s general and financial functions and also approve resolutions that serve as the Association’s policy.
