(KNOX) – The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said that an armed individual who barricaded themselves in a garage in Aneta was taken into custody Saturday after several hours of negotiations.
Deputies responded to a home for the report of a disturbance involving an armed individual who had barricaded themselves inside the garage of the house.
Deputies established a perimeter to ensure the safety of nearby residents. The individual refused to exit the garage, prompting negotiations.
After several hours of negotiation the individual was safely taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported to deputies, the suspect, or members of the public.
