Red River Scores Late, Ties Central in Cushman Cup First Round

(KNOX) – Mory Camara scored in the seventy-second minute to erase a Central lead the Knights had enjoyed for over 60 minutes, sending the first match of the Cushman Cup series to a 1-1 draw.

Sam Christman scored in the tenth minute to put the Knights on the board first.

Red River found the equalizer when Camara scored on the week side of a scrum in front of the Central net.

Each team picks up a point in the Eastern Dakota Conference standings.  Neither team has been able to find a win in the league this season.  It was the second straight match at Cushman where a 1-0 lead was taken into the final 10 minutes for Central, settling for a tie.  Red River scored their first goal in four matches.

Central plays at West Fargo Thursday, while Red River hosts West Fargo Sheyenne.
