(KNOX) – A North Dakota man is warning others after falling victim to a Publishers Clearing House scam.
Everett Rain of Ellendale said that he had been scammed out of $300.
A woman messaged him on Facebook saying he won $1 million and a new car. All he had to do to accept the prize was turn in an Apple gift card.
The scammer kept asking for more money. That’s when Rain said that he knew he had made a mistake.
