(KNOX) – Ground was broken Friday morning for the Altru Sports Complex in Grand Forks.
Several dignitaries spoke to the crowd.
To get to this point it took a few years, according to Grand Forks Mayor Brandon Bochenski.
“A great day. About three or four years of work,” said Bochenski.
The new sports site will have indoor turf and aquatic services.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by the fall of 2027.
The Altru sports facility will be located near the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
