(KNOX) – An accident Monday afternoon closed down Interstate 29 northbound in Grand Forks County.
It happened about two miles north of the Thompson exit.
At first traffic was allowed to cross over in a drive through into the southbound lanes and exit at the Thompson exit.
Thompson Police and deputies with the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office closed the northbound lanes and all northbound vehicles had to exit at the Thompson exit to get around the accident.
Vehicles that got off at the Thompson exit could not get back on Interstate 29 northbound until the City of Grand Forks.
