(KNOX) – The Minnesota Department of Health said that two investigations into an East Grand Forks nursing facility that dealt with maltreatment have been confirmed.

In the first case, it involved Edgewood Senior Living where registered nurses neglected a resident when they failed to have a method I that would guarantee the availability of medication refills. The resident’s medications were not delivered immediately after new orders were placed.

The Minnesota Department of Health said that he resident was hospitalized after missing 10 days of prescribed medications. The facility and AP/RN1 and AP/RN2 were responsible for the maltreatment, the report said.

In the second case, Edgewood failed to provide continuous monitoring for signs and symptoms of a diabetic condition, resulting in the resident being admitted to the hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis.

The report also said that the facility caused a rib fracture by improperly putting the resident into a car.
