(KNOX) – The Sertoma of Greater Grand Forks presented the Freedom Week Ceremony Tuesday at Eagles Crest Grill.
Lisa Knoll of the Sertoma of Greater Grand Forks says all of this year’s winners are from the J. Nelson Kelly Elementary School in Grand Forks.
“We ask the local fifth graders to write an essay. 200 to 400 words, on what ‘Freedom Means to Me,’” says Knoll.
First-place winner is Harper Ford and the second-place winner is Adeline Farmer. Their teacher is Lindsey Johnson.
The third-place winner is Lillian Burchill, whose teacher is Amy Kruger.
