Grand Forks Airforce Base to Develop a Data Traffic Network for Low-Earth Orbit Satellite Mission

(KNOX) – North Dakota U.S. Senator John Hoeven says the U.S. Space Force has awarded a nearly $10 million contract modification to General Dynamics.

The modification is to advance the Space Networking Center and satellite mission at Grand Sky Park on Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Hoeven says the money will be used to test and develop a data traffic network serving the low-earth orbit satellite mission

Hoeven says the project will lay the groundwork for missions to begin using the satellite communications network and solidify Grand Forks’ role supporting military operations around the world.
