Arrest made for argument when fire was intentionally set

(KNOX) – A Grand Forks resident was arrested Wednesday night for three counts of endangerment by fire, preventing arrest, and domestic aggravated assault
Officers were dispatched to a residence on 4th Avenue South for a domestic disturbance at about 10:17 pm. This situation quickly escalated into an open residential fire and the Grand Forks Fire Department was also dispatched along with Altru Health Systems.
The suspect, identified as James Laducer, was inside the residence when an altercation occurred between, he and the primary victim, Clara Falcon. Laducer managed to inflict serious bodily injury upon Falcon and then proceeded to light various objects on fire within the residence. Two young juveniles were also inside.
Laducer attempted to flee the scene and was intercepted by law enforcement as he exited out of a second story window and began to engage officers in another physical altercation. Laducer was taken into custody by officers on scene. Falcon and the two juveniles were not injured. All parties involved were medically seen by Altru Health Systems staff.
Laducer is in custody at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the Grand Forks Police Department.
