EGF City Council work session discusses Green Site, sidewalk extension

(KNOX) – East Grand Forks City Council is being asked to consider paving the Green Site off Second Avenue Northeast.
Public Works Director Jason Stordahl says the site is running out of space for residents to dump clippings, leaves, tree branches and limbs.
Alderman Clarence Vetter says he’d like to see more use of the city’s chipper and the Green Site to become a recycling center.

Stordahl says the chipper is labor intensive and would need so much monitoring…when public works doesn’t have the manpower.

The work session of the East Grand Forks City Council heard of plans for a 75-to-80 foot extension between Bygland Road and 17th Avenue Southeast.
Alderman Brian Larsen says it’s a matter of safety because kids have been using the cul de sac as a cut-across.

At the request of the Blue Line Club Arena, the council will name the new outdoor rink after Jim Bradshaw, the rink’s primary sponsor.
