UND’s football team rose 10 spots to 4th in the latest FCS poll… while NDSU fell from first to sixth.
On Saturday, the Fighting Hawks beat then-third-rated South Dakota State by 23 points… and the Bison lost 38-to-14 at Southern Illinois – a team UND beat by 11 in the season opener.
UND received two first-place votes in the STATS FCS poll.
James Madison is the new number-one team…followed by Weber (WEE-ber) State and Northern Iowa. (South Dakota State dropped to eighth, with Southern Illinois 11th.)
UND’s next game is Thursday at home against 20th-rated South Dakota. That’s a 5 PM start.
