It was an early wake-up this morning (Friday) for residents in a south Grand Forks apartment building. Police were called to 2323 South 17th Street shortly after 2:00 a-m on a report of gunfire in the building.
During the course of the investigation officers determined a 24-year old resident from St. Paul (MN) fired a handgun that he thought was unloaded. The bullet traveled into the floor of the third story unit and through the ceiling of the apartment below. No one was injured.
Authorities say Jordan Stone was charged with reckless endangerment. There were no reported injuries. The case has been forwarded to the Grand Forks County States Attorney for review.
