(KNOX) -A final plan on a planned athletic facility should be before Grand Forks City Council sometime in October.
City Council member Ken Vein said he feels there needs to be more transparency on the project.
“With the taxpayer voting for this, that we’re delivering what the taxpayers wanted. I believe we have accountability to make sure that is happening,” said Vein.
If Grand Forks City Council approves the plans for the athletic center, the project could be bid next spring.
Vein said that the working of the project needs to be clear.
“I’m a little maybe biased, because I go back to when we built the Alerus Center and the council was involved at that time with a committee that had oversight of that.” Vein said.
