(KNOX) – The southbound lanes on N. Washington St. will be closed from Demers Ave. to 1st Ave. N. starting on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The lane closure is part of the next phase of the complete reconstruction of N. Washington St. from Demers Ave. to 1st Ave. N.
Traffic on N. Washington St. will be reduced to one lane in each direction on the northbound lanes.
Reminder that due to this construction, Washington St. is not designated as a truck route. Truck traffic will be rerouted.
Construction on N. Washington St. this summer is expected to be complete by Mid-November, weather permitting.
