(KNOX) -Crews will begin working on the Columbia Road Overpass on Monday, August 5th. There will be traffic control in place to close the east northbound lane.
Crews will begin sandblasting and painting work on the north 1/3 of the Columbia Road Overpass.
Once in place, the traffic control for this phase of the project is expected to remain for 2 to 4 days.
The west northbound lane and both southbound lanes of the overpass will remain open.
Additional traffic control measures are expected to take effect in the coming weeks as this project progresses.
The city will provide updates as soon as the future project schedule and work is known.
