(KNOX) – Grand Forks is seeing the bang for its buck from the Alerus Center.
The annual Joint City Council and Events Center Commission meeting heard that to date in 2024, Alerus Center events have generated close to $17 million in economic impact. The Center is ahead of projected budgets and income.
2024 will mark the first time the Alerus Center has hosted five concerts with more than 10,000 fans in attendance. Zach Bryan is slated for August 25 and 26, a Sunday/Monday weekend.
There are seven home football dates for the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks… among more than 150 events to finish the year.
The Alerus Center is 30% booked for 2025… when renovations are planned for the conference center and ballrooms.
