(KNOX/Valley News Live) –A man was arrested on Wednesday in Maddock after barricading himself inside a Maddock residence. The Lake Region Narcotics Task Force and Benson County Sheriff’s Office tried to find Brandon Mattern, who was wanted on an outstanding Class A felony warrant for possession of meth with the intent to deliver with a firearm.
A search warrant was granted and executed, when officers used non-lethal weapons such as pepperball and bean bag guns. No weapons were found in the residence during the search.
Mattern was taken to the law enforcement center in Devils Lake on the warrant and on a charge of resisting arrest.
The sheriff’s office said there is no active threat in Maddock and the incident was contained to the residence.
