(KNOX/KFGO) –President Donald Trump has approved North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong’s request for a presidential disaster declaration.
The declaration relates to storms that happened from June 7th through June 9th that caused roughly $3.5 million in damage. The storms caused tornadoes, baseball-size hail and wind up to 100 miles per hour.
Armstrong says that 25,000 people lost power during the storms.
Presidential disaster declarations make FEMA public assistance available to help cover the cost of fixing and replacing damaged infrastructure.
