(KNOX) –The funeral service for longtime Grand Forks Royals Baseball Coach Nick Chine was held last Saturday at Hope Church. Chine was an assistant coach for the Royals for 18 years, and was the Head Coach since 2012. He was also a teacher at Red River High School and was an assistant coach for the Roughriders Baseball team. Grand Forks Public Schools Superintendent Dr.Terry Brenner says that Chine made a lasting impact.
Brenner also says that Chine was an educator who cared deeply about his students.
Chine died in late July from a heart attack. He was 57 years old.
