Law Enforcement and Search Crews Still Searching For Missing Hiker in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park

(KNOX/KFGO)- Law Enforcement and Search Crews are continuing to look for a hiker in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park who has been missing since July 19.

37-year-old Artoun Gostantain was last seen in New Town. He is a white-middle eastern man who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 178 pounds. He also has brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses

Badlands Search and Rescue and National Park rangers have been searching for him in the park’s north unit. The North Dakota Highway Patrol has used its tracking dogs, and Civil Air Patrol and North Dakota Army National Guard have been looking for him from the air.

Teams are now searching the park on foot and on horseback for any sign of Gostantain. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Office at 701-628-2975.
