Devils Lake Police Warning Walmart Drivers About Scam

(KNOX) – The Devils Lake Police Department is warning the Walmart Spark drivers in the Devils Lake area about a scam that is targeting them.

The police department said in a Facebook post that scammers are placing small orders for items like a can of corn or a can of beans. 

When the driver accepts the order, they are getting a phone call right away from someone who is claiming to be from Spark Support.

The caller tells the driver the customer made a mistake by ordering those items and that the items can be returned to the store. The driver is then told that they’re able to get reimbursed through One Pay. The instructions they are given ends up leading to the driver’s funds being stolen.
