(KNOX) -A 24-year-old Grand Forks man is facing felony charges after police say he forced his way into a victim’s apartment, threatening to kill him.
Grand Forks Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on S. 17th Street and 28th Avenue South around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Joseph Donald Krueger got into an argument with the victim because of a property dispute. Krueger apparently punched a hole in the wall of the victim’s apartment during the argument and he then left. He came back shortly after when decided to bang on the door, demanding to be let in. The victim refused to let him in.
Krueger forced his way in through a screen window. Police say he threatened to beat and kill the victim, and he chased him around the apartment and the surrounding complex. When officers arrived, Krueger did not tell police his actual last name.
Krueger is facing burglary and terrorizing charges, as well as two misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and providing false information to law enforcement.
He appeared in Grand Forks District Court Monday and a no-contact order was proposed. His next court date is a preliminary hearing and it is scheduled for August 17.
