11 North Dakota Airports Receiving Federal Funding for Infrastructure Projects

(KNOX) –North Dakota will receive $32 million from the Federal Aviation Administration that will help infrastructure projects at 11 different airports. The money will be used to either replace or create new runways, taxiways and lights. 

The money comes through the Fiscal Year 2026 Airport Improvement Program. It will support upgrades at major regional hubs and smaller municipal facilities.

Bismarck Municipal Airport will get $8.8 million to rehabilitate their runway, taxiways and lighting, as well as complete runway safety area improvements.

Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport will receive $8.6 million. They plan to construct a terminal apron, as well as new taxiways and taxiway lighting.

Minot International Airport gets $7.6 million to rehabilitate the runway, to reconstruct runway lighting and to build runway end identifier lights. They will also look to realign and extend the taxiway.

Hector International Airport will use $4 million to reconstruct the terminal apron.

Beach Municipal Airport gets $950,000 to reconstruct runway lighting, taxiway lighting, and airfield signage. It will also use the money for a lighting vault, precision approach path indicator system and rotating beacon.

Williston Basin International Airport will plan to use $519,840 to reseal their commercial apron, taxiways and taxilane pavement joints.

Mott Municipal Airport will receive $519,009 to reseal runway, apron, taxiway and taxilane pavements.

Glen Ullin Regional Airport will use $375,000 to reseal runway, apron and taxilane pavements.

Garrison Municipal Airport will have $310,000 to reconstruct the airport terminal.

Hettinger J.B. Lindquist Regional Airport will get $167,854 to create a design for taxiway lighting improvements.

Tioga Municipal Airport will receive $60,000 to design a taxiway extension and holding bay expansion.
