(KNOX) – A 21-year-old Horace man has changed his plea to guilty for manslaughter in the shooting death of his girlfriend.
Derrick Lobbo also pleaded guilty to child neglect and aggravated assault. He was facing reckless endangerment charges, but those were dropped. His girlfriend, 23-year-old Sakeena Khaadi, was killed by a gunshot in their apartment last November.
Lobbo left the apartment after the shooting and went to a nearby clinic to seek help. His 2-year-old daughter was still in the apartment when deputies arrived.
His sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.
