65th Annual Aneta Turkey Barbecue and Summer Festival Happening This Weekend

(KNOX) – The Annual Aneta Turkey Barbecue and Summer Festival is continuing this weekend, from Friday, June 19 until Sunday, June 21. The festival officially started on Thursday with a basketball game.

The festival will having events on Friday that include rhubarb tasting, a rib supper, talent show and karaoke. Saturday will feature a pancake breakfast, car and bike show, tractor pull, vendor show, dog talent show, chainsaw carving and black smith demonstration, youth vet clinic, face painting, Nelson County K9 Unit demonstration and both kiddie and main parade.

The barbeque starts on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at Aneta City Park. The barbecue costs $15 for adults and $6 for children six through 12. Preschool kids eat free. There will also be a fireman water race and street dance.

On Sunday, there will be an all faith service and a brunch will follow the service.

Aneta is roughly 50 miles west of Grand Forks.
