(KNOX) – Fargo Post 2 wasted little time gaining momentum in what would turn out to be a sweep of the Grand Forks Royals Monday night.
Post 2 struck for five runs in the bottom of the first inning in game one, winning 11-3 in the front end.
The Royals attempted to rally, scoring three in the top of the second, but could not hold off Post 2, as they banged out 12 hits against the Royals.
Grand Forks managed seven hits in game two, and held Post 2 to just three, but fell 3-0 in the nightcap.
The Royals will now play in their annual road trip to Omaha, NE this week.
