
(KNOX) – The debut for the Spitfires was a rousing success.
Grand Forks erupted for five in the bottom of the second in an eventual 16-6 win over the Minot HoneyBees in the opening night of Spitfires softball at Albrecht Field in Grand Forks.
Makenna Alexander had four hits for the Spitfires, including a pair of doubles, driving in two runs. Ally Hetzel was 2-3, with a triple, three runs scored and four RBI.
The Spitfires play again at Albrecht Field Wednesday night. First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
