(KNOX) – Charges in a Fosston shooting may be enhanced after the victim died Tuesday.
TeeJay Alvarez of Fosston died Tuesday morning from wounds sustained in the shooting, according to a release from the Fosston Police Department.
Cory Burnette Jr., 22, of Fosston was arrested and charged with probable-cause second-degree assault and discharge of a firearm. Formal charges are still pending.
The shooting took place Monday afternoon. When officers arrived, Alvarez had been taken to the hospital by another person, and was eventually taken to Fargo.
