(KNOX) – A pickup driver distracted by a phone and under the influence caused a multi-injury accident in western North Dakota.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a school bus was struck by the pickup driver in the back, forced into the southbound lane of Highway 85, where the bus was then struck by a semi.
The bus driver and two passengers were injured. The driver of the pickup was also injured, all injuries considered minor. The pickup driver had a blood-alcohol content level, based on breath test, of .112.
The highway was reduced to one lane while the incident was investigated.
